Basketball Recap: Rolla Comes Up Short

Rolla and Ashland squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Rolla had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Ashland Blue Jays, falling 66-15. The loss leaves the Pirates still looking for their first win on the season.

Biannca Ceniceros was her usual excellent self, en route to 21 points and five steals for Ashland. Ashland is 5-1 when Ceniceros posts five or more steals, but 5-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jaya Milburn, who on her way to 11 points.

Rolla's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Ashland, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-10.

As of now, neither Rolla nor Ashland have any future games scheduled.
