Madison has gone a perfect 10-0 against Churchill recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Madison will take on Churchill at 4:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Sonia Gres made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Gres was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
In other batting news, Churchill got a massive performance out of Xiomara Sostre, who went 2-for-4 with two triples, four RBI, and one run. Those two hits gave Sostre a new career-high. Claire Wasiak was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4.
Churchill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
The victory (which was Madison's third in a row) raised their record to 7-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Churchill, their record now sits at 9-12-1.
