Preview: Nease Panthers vs. Riverside Generals
Nease has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Riverside Generals at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Nease has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Nease scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 57-48 win over Columbia. The win was all the more spectacular given Nease's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 312th, while Columbia is ranked 111th).
Nease found their leader in underclassman Audrey Rollins, who scored 22 points. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Sage Pytel, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Even though Riverside has not done well against Sandalwood recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Riverside skirted past Sandalwood 32-30. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Riverside.
Nease's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Riverside, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
