Pryce Payne leads White House-Heritage to victory over Harpeth

The White House-Heritage Patriots won the last time they faced the Harpeth Indians, and things went their way on Tuesday too. White House-Heritage came out on top against Harpeth by a score of 48-39. Given White House-Heritage's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 164th, while Harpeth is ranked 332nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

White House-Heritage can attribute much of their success to Pryce Payne, who scored 18 points along with three steals. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Coles, who scored five points along with five rebounds.

White House-Heritage has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Harpeth, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. White House-Heritage will take on Trousdale County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Harpeth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cheatham County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Cheatham County Central's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
