Rush-Henrietta extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Brendan Mangone. The Royal Comets took down the Aquinas Institute Little Irish 21-7 on Thursday thanks in part to Mangone, who threw for 271 yards and three touchdowns. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced one fumble and made five total tackles.

One reason for the win was Rush-Henrietta's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. In that department, Zach Erne was the leader with two.

Rush-Henrietta's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Aquinas Institute, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Rush-Henrietta is set to challenge their familiar foe University Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Aquinas Institute will face off against rival Penfield at 12:00 p.m. on the 27th.
