Carson Reichert gave up the fewest hits he has since back in April of 2024 on Wednesday. He was dynamite, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

Looking ahead, Reichert and Athens will look to defend their home field on Thursday against North Mac at 4:30 p.m. North Mac will enter the matchup having just beaten Tri-City, so Athens will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
