After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lebanon Trail, Liberty was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Centennial Titans 13-1. Considering the Redhawks have won four contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Liberty let Ainslee Palmer and Madison Terry run wild. Palmer went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Terry got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That home run marked the first that Palmer launched this season. Another player making a difference was Adeline Glatch, who scored three runs while going 1-for-3.
Liberty always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Liberty now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Centennial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.
Looking ahead, Liberty will take on Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty is facing Heritage at the right time seeing as Heritage is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Centennial, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Frisco at 5:30 p.m.
