Football Recap: Kewanee Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Kewanee had lost six straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-9 to make it seven. They were outmatched by the Orion Chargers and fell 63-24. The Boilermakers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

As for Orion, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their 12-point performance the contest before.

Kale Filler continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 381 yards and five TDs, while also punching in a pair of touchdowns on the ground. He is becoming a predictor of Orion's success: when he posts at least 250 passing yards the team is 2-1 (and 1-5 when he doesn't). Owen Voorhees was Filler's top target, picking up 81 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 49 yards.

As of now, neither Kewanee nor Orion have any future games scheduled.
