Softball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Melanie Martens and Zoe Bustillos Lead Muleshoe to Victory

It's playoff time, and Muleshoe had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let the Canadian Wildcats get on the board and left with a 5-0 win on Friday. The Mules haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Adalie Agundis made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Agundis was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

In other batting news, Muleshoe let Zoe Bustillos and Melanie Martens run wild. Bustillos went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two doubles, and one run, while Martens went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave Bustillos a new career-high. Addilene Blanco was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Muleshoe's record is now 22-8. As for Canadian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Muleshoe nor Canadian have any future games scheduled.
