Belmont was handed a heart-breaking two-run  loss in their last  contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Tremont  on Tuesday. The Belmont Cardinals were the clear victor by  a  14-2 margin over the Tremont Eagles. The  win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.
 Collier Clark made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out eight batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Clark was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-4 with three  RBI.
 In other batting news, Belmont got a  massive  performance out of  Miller Searcy, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave  Searcy a new career-high in  hits (three).  Carter Harris was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
Belmont now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for Tremont, they now  have a losing record of 1-2.
 Coming up, Belmont will head out on the road to  challenge  Hickory Flat  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up.
