Baseball Game Preview: Yorktown Huskers vs. Ketcham Storm

Yorktown is 0-4 against Ketcham since April of 2016 but things could change on Saturday. The Huskers will face off against the Storm at 11:00 a.m.

Last Sunday, Yorktown came up short against Fox Lane and fell 9-5. The loss was the Huskers' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Ketcham put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Mount Vernon a 19-0 shutout. That looming 19-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Storm yet this season.

Ketcham pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Yorktown, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Yorktown couldn't quite get it done against Ketcham when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 9-5. Can the Huskers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
