Soccer Recap: Burbank Victorious

On Monday, it was close, but the Burbank Bulldogs sidestepped the Brentwood School Eagles for a 2-1 victory. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Eagles are ranked 262nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Joseph Chavez and Aram Hovanessian scored both of Burbank's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Burbank's win bumped their record up to 2-0-1. As for Brentwood School, they now have a losing record at 1-2-1.

Burbank wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Santa Paula on the 4th. As for Brentwood School, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Santa Monica on the 5th.
