Ralston Valley has gone 8-2 against Columbine recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Ralston Valley Mustangs will look to defend their home court against the Columbine Rebels at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Ralston Valley is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Valor Christian, who was ranked second at the time (Ralston Valley was ranked 21st). Ralston Valley lost 68-48 to Valor Christian on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost nine in a row.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Santana Sabus, who went 9 for 20 on her way to 21 points and seven rebounds. Sammi Madden was another key player, putting up 12 points and five boards.

Columbine has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were outmatched by Valor Christian and fell 80-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rebels have suffered since January 17, 2024.

Ralston Valley's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5. As for Columbine, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Ralston Valley came up short against Columbine when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 48-44. Can Ralston Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
