Softball Game Preview: Columbia Crimson Tide vs. Lancaster Mennonite Blazers

Columbia hasn't had much luck against Lancaster Mennonite recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Crimson Tide will head out to face off against the Blazers at 4:15 p.m. Columbia has given up an average of 21.7 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Columbia is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They came up short against Octorara Area, falling 31-1.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Lancaster Mennonite's offense. They fell just short of Lancaster Catholic by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The Blazers have struggled against the Crusaders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lancaster Mennonite, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Columbia suffered a grim 27-13 defeat to Lancaster Mennonite when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Can the Crimson Tide avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
