Basketball Game Preview: Holdingford Huskers vs. Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City Falcons

Holdingford is 2-8 against Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Holdingford Huskers are taking a road trip to face off against the Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City Falcons at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Holdingford's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Holdingford will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Kimball, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Holdingford put the hurt on Kimball with a sharp 69-43 win on Tuesday. While the Huskers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City faced off against Eden Valley-Watkins on Tuesday. Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City took a hard 62-48 fall against Eden Valley-Watkins. The game marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Holdingford, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2.

Holdingford beat Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 59-46 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Holdingford since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
