Football Recap: Mount Michael Benedictine Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mount Michael Benedictine can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 55-14 loss at the hands of the Wahoo Warriors. The loss continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, Mount Michael Benedictine still got an impressive performance from Jedd Ramold, who rushed for 88 yards and one score on only 12 carries. Ramold's longest rush was for an impressive 62 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Kip Brigham produced another solid effort rushing for 135 yards and three TDs on only 12 carries, while also picking up 80 receiving yards for Wahoo. Brigham's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 19th straight game with at least 101 rushing yards dating back to last season. Jase Kaminski was another key player, rushing for 27 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Mount Michael Benedictine's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Wahoo, their victory bumped their record up to 11-0.

Mount Michael Benedictine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wahoo, they will face off against Ashland-Greenwood on Friday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Bluejays have now posted at least 31 points in their last nine contests.
