On Friday, The Boron Bobcats got themselves on the board against the California City Ravens, but the California City Ravens never followed suit. They blew past the Ravens, posting a 37-0 win on the road. Boron's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Boron can attribute much of their success to Andrew Gartica, who rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. Josue Magallanes also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.

Boron's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-8 Desert and 1-8 California City (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 38.9% over those games). As for California City, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
