Basketball Game Preview: Effingham County Rebels vs. Greenbrier Wolfpack

The Effingham County Rebels will head out on the road to challenge the Greenbrier Wolfpack at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Effingham County has now lost 13 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 22.

Last Friday, Effingham County came up short against Lakeside and fell 49-41. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 417th, while the Panthers are ranked 206th).

Effingham County's defeat came about despite a quality game from Kyjana Jordan, who posted 22 points. Another player making a difference was Abbi Jones, who put up eight points.

Meanwhile, Greenbrier was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 57-56 to Evans.

Effingham County's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Greenbrier, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Effingham County ended up a good deal behind Greenbrier when the teams last played on Wednesday, losing 50-33. Can Effingham County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
