Baseball Recap: Lebanon Starts off Right with Win over Mcnary

Lebanon had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the McNary Celtics. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 16-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Austin Turnidge made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Turnidge was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, Cole Gerig was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Preston Bryan was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Lebanon will be playing in front of their home fans against Centennial at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for McNary, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge McDaniel at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
