Basketball Recap: Westfield Gets the Win

After losing to Randolph the last time they met, Westfield decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Westfield Wolverines secured a 43-39 W over the Randolph Cardinals on Saturday. The 43-point effort marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Westfield's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Randolph, with the loss, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-2.

Westfield and Randolph should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. Westfield will face off against Maple Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 569 places (83 vs. 652). Westfield is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road dating back to last season. Similarly, Randolph (ranked 102nd) will meet Frewsburg (ranked 667th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
