Basketball Recap: South Loup Comes Up Short

South Loup was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 50-17 loss at the hands of the Arcadia/Loup City Rebels. South Loup was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-8.

Nicole Chilewski was nothing short of spectacular for Arcadia/Loup City: she went 9-for-13 on her way to 20 points and six steals. Arcadia/Loup City is undefeated when Chilewski posts five or more steals, but 7-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Eva Jaixen, who posted ten points and five assists.

South Loup's defeat dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Arcadia/Loup City, their victory bumped their record up to 15-9.

As of now, neither South Loup nor Arcadia/Loup City have any future games scheduled.
