Volleyball Recap: Highlands Ranch Takes a Loss

Highlands Ranch came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Rangeview Raiders, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-18, 25-15.

Talan Polk paced Highlands Ranch's offense, picking up 14 kills. Polk got some help from Diego Contreras and his 12 assists. Polk was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Highlands Ranch has been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season. As for Rangeview, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 10-12 record.

Looking ahead, Highlands Ranch will take on Douglas County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rangeview, they will square off against Thomas Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
