Barbers Hill got themselves on the board against Sterling on Tuesday, but Sterling never followed suit. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Rangers. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Rangers: they've now won five in a row.

The result came thanks to Ayden Mooring's shutout, as he gave up just two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Barbers Hill saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joseph Ponder, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was Ponder's first of the season. Roque Garcia was another, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Barbers Hill's victory bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Sterling, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-13.
