Volleyball Recap: Mahopac Indians vs. John Jay Patriots
Mahopac suffered their biggest loss since September 9th on Tuesday. They came up short against the John Jay Patriots, falling 3-0. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Olivia Hoyt, who had nine digs and six kills. Another player making a difference was Bella DeChico, who had eight digs and a kill.
John Jay was led to victory by Ashley Curtiss and Lindsay Mcdonough. Curtiss had four digs and 18 assists, while Mcdonough had seven digs.
Mahopac's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5. As for John Jay, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mahopac will square off against Carmel at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for John Jay, they will take on Ketcham at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. John Jay is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
