Baseball Game Preview: Clinton Prairie Gophers vs. Benton Central Bison

Clinton Prairie hasn't had much luck against Benton Central recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Gophers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bison at 6:00 p.m.

Clinton Prairie is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Frankfort on Saturday. They fell just short of the Hot Dogs by a score of 2-1. The loss put an end to the Gophers' undefeated start to the season.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Saturday Benton Central sidestepped Rensselaer Central for a 4-2 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bison have posted against the Bombers since April 6, 2021.

Having lost for the first time this season, Clinton Prairie fell to 2-1. As for Benton Central, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
