Softball Recap: High Point Christian Academy Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with South Caldwell

On Thursday, High Point Christian Academy faced South Caldwell in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The High Point Christian Academy Cougars fell 6-2 to the South Caldwell Spartans.

High Point Christian Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hailey Allred, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

High Point Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for South Caldwell, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with the victory, which was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. High Point Christian Academy will challenge Reagan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Caldwell, they will face off against Freedom at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Freedom is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.
