Basketball Game Preview: Lenawee Christian Cougars vs. Summerfield Bulldogs

Lenawee Christian is on a 14-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Summerfield is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Lenawee Christian Cougars will host the Summerfield Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

It was a proper cat-fight when Lenawee Christian challenged Whiteford on Tuesday. Lenawee Christian strolled past Whiteford with points to spare, taking the game 62-48. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Bobcats are ranked 304th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Summerfield earned a 56-43 victory over Erie-Mason on Tuesday. The 56-point effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Summerfield's win bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Lenawee Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.

Lenawee Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Summerfield in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 55-42. Will Lenawee Christian repeat their success, or does Summerfield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
