Manheim Central has gone a perfect 7-0 against Cocalico recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Barons are taking a road trip to take on the Eagles at 4:15 p.m. Manheim Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Manheim Central will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Garden Spot on Monday. The Barons were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Spartans. The victory continues a trend for the Barons in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won nine in a row.

Mea Redcay made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Makenna Hess was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Ella Nikolaus was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
Manheim Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Garden Spot only posted an OBP of .375.
Meanwhile, Cocalico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against Eastern Lebanon County, falling 11-1. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.
Cocalico saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Leasure, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.
Manheim Central's record now sits at 6-8. As for Cocalico, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
Manheim Central's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's game. The Barons have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Cocalico, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Manheim Central continue to outrun the ball?
Manheim Central got the 'W' in their previous meeting two weeks ago against Cocalico by a conclusive 18-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Barons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
