Urbana University kept up with Peotone until halftime on Thursday, but afterwards: not so much. The Blue Devils' defense stepped up to hand the Illineks a 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Peotone, who have now won seven games by three goals or more so far this season.

Allie Werner was the driving force of Peotone's attack as she scored all seven of Peotone's goals, bringing her season total up to 33 goals.

Peotone has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-6-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 57 goals over those nine contests. As for Urbana University, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-16-2.

Peotone does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Urbana University, they will challenge Bloomington Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on the 16th.
