Basketball Game Preview: North Putnam Cougars vs. Parke Heritage Wolves

The North Putnam Cougars will venture away from home to challenge the Parke Heritage Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

North Putnam is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Edgewood just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost to the Mustangs at home by a 58-41 margin.

Meanwhile, Parke Heritage put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat North Vermillion 63-34. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 29 points or more this season.

Parke Heritage's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.2 points per game. As for North Putnam, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.

North Putnam took a serious blow against Parke Heritage in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 66-17. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Parke Heritage's Emma Simpson, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 13 boards.
