Volleyball Recap: Kuna Takes a Loss

Kuna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Meridian Warriors. If the Kavemen were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Warriors when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:three sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-20, 24-26, 28-26.

Despite the loss, Kuna still got an impressive performance from Sophie Thorne, who had 15 digs.

Kuna's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Meridian, their win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 9-9.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Kuna is set to face off against their familiar foe Borah at 6:30 p.m. on the 10th. Meanwhile, Meridian will challenge rival Timberline at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
