Preview: Exeter Monarchs vs. Sierra Pacific Golden Bears
Exeter is 1-0 against Sierra Pacific since October of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Exeter Monarchs will look to defend their home field against the Sierra Pacific Golden Bears at 7:30 p.m. Exeter will be looking to keep their nine-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Even though Immanuel scored an imposing 32 points on Friday, Exeter still came out on top. Everything went Exeter's way against Immanuel as Exeter made off with a 54-32 win. The result was nothing new for Exeter, who have now won four contests by 22 points or more so far this season.
Jacob Molina continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 362 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.4% of his passes, and also rushing for 136 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Molina was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 52 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Niqo Calderon, who gained 191 total yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Sierra Pacific suffered a tough 27-7 defeat at the hands of Reedley on Saturday. Sierra Pacific has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Collin Brasil, who picked up 112 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Exeter's victory lifted them to 8-0 while Sierra Pacific's loss dropped them down to 6-2.
Everything came up roses for Exeter against Sierra Pacific in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 36-7 victory. Will Exeter repeat their success, or does Sierra Pacific have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
