Baseball Game Preview: El Camino Colts vs. Aragon Dons

For the second straight game, El Camino will face off against Aragon. El Camino will be playing in front of their home fans against Aragon at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

El Camino took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Aragon, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. El Camino's pitcher stepped up to hand Aragon a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Colts have posted since April 25, 2024.

Not much got past Adrian I?iguez, who gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Aragon off the board. I?iguez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Hunter Tamayo was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Nicholas Jang was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

El Camino's win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. As for Aragon, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
