Softball Recap: Ingram Moore Takes a Loss

Ingram Moore lost against Blanco last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Ingram Moore Warriors came up short against the Blanco Panthers, falling 32-9. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jaycee Crawley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Priscilla Cancino was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Crawley wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Ingram Moore kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's a new trend for Ingram Moore: they were averaging 5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 12.8.

Ingram Moore's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Blanco, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.

Looking ahead, Ingram Moore will be playing in front of their home fans against Brady at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Blanco, they are taking a road trip to square off against Llano at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Blanco knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Llano likes a good challenge.
