Baseball Game Preview: Pine Crest Panthers vs. Killian Cougars

For the second straight game, Pine Crest will face off against Killian. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Pine Crest is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over Killian.

For Killian's part, Zach Fernandez was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That's the fewest hits Fernandez has allowed since back in February.

On the hitting side, Killian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julian Zeledon, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double. Kevin Nunez was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

Pine Crest's win bumped their record up to 15-6-2. As for Killian, they dropped their record down to 12-13 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
