Recap: Red Land Patriots vs. Mifflin County Huskies
The Red Land Patriots''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Mifflin County by a score of 22-19. Red Land lost against Mifflin County in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 41-7 score last time.
Mifflin County can attribute much of their success to Deakon Schaeffer, who rushed for 172 yards and a touchdown.
Red Land's defeat was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-8. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 10-0 Bishop McDevitt and 7-3 Hershey (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 60.6% over those games). As for Mifflin County, their victory bumped their record up to 5-5.
Red Land will head out on the road to face off against Mifflin County at 8:55 p.m. on Monday. As for Mifflin County, they will look to defend their home field against Red Land at 8:55 p.m.
