Recap: Harlem Huskies vs. Guilford Vikings
The Harlem Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by Guilford on the road and fell 69-40. While losing is never fun, Harlem can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 538th, while Guilford is ranked 151st).
When it comes to explaining why Harlem lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mason Walsh. Despite the final result, he scored 10 points along with 3 steals.
Harlem's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Guilford, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
Harlem will head out on the road to face off against Belvidere at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Guilford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rockford East at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
