Baseball Recap: Narbonne's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Narbonne dropped their record down to 12-12 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They lost 8-0 to the Banning Pilots. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Gauchos haven't been shut out since back in March.

As for Banning, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-8. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games.

For Banning's part, Isaac Martinez was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs. That's the most hits Martinez has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Pedro Ibanez-Eddy, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

While Narbonne had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
