Recap: Raleigh Charter Phoenix vs. Princeton Bulldogs
The Raleigh Charter Phoenix's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Princeton on the road and fell 65-29. Raleigh Charter was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Princeton apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2016.
Princeton can attribute much of their success to Garrett Lane, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 1 assists. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jakeir Ward, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Raleigh Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Princeton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-7 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Raleigh Charter will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Falls Lake at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. As for Princeton, they will face off against Eastern Wayne at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
