Baseball Game Preview: Severance Silver Knights vs. Mountain View Mountain Lions

For the second straight game, Severance will face off against Mountain View. The Silver Knights are taking a road trip to square off against the Mountain Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Severance has five straight wins, Mountain View has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Saturday, Severance made easy work of Mountain View and carried off a 9-3 victory. Considering the Silver Knights have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Severance let Dom Torres and Braeden Kerksiek run wild. Torres went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Kerksiek went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Kerksiek a new career-high. Declan Moylett also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Severance's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Mountain View, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
