Volleyball Recap: Union Academy Beats Trinity for Their Third Straight Win + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Union Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Trinity Bulldogs 3-0 on Thursday. The win was nothing new for the Cardinals as they're now sitting on three straight.

One reason for the win was Union Academy's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-21, 25-17.

Kylie Wilson paced Union Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Wilson got some help from Sara Baker and her 39 assists.

Trinity lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Avalynn Johnson, who had 23 assists and six digs. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last 52 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlee Phillips, who had eight digs and three aces.

Union Academy's victory bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-13.

Union Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Draughn on the 25th. Trinity does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
