Soccer Recap: Piper Takes a Loss

Piper managed to keep up with Deerfield Beach until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Piper Bengals came up short against the Deerfield Beach Bucks, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, the Bengals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 485th, while the Bucks are ranked 149th).

Piper's defeat was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-11-1. As for Deerfield Beach, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5-2.

Piper has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Coconut Creek on the 16th. As for Deerfield Beach, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Coral Springs on the 16th.
