Republic had won four straight games and Preston McCracken did his part to make it five on Friday. The Tigers came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 27-21 W against the Webb City Cardinals thanks in part to McCracken, who rushed for 244 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 109.3 rushing yards per game.

Republic's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Webb City, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Coming up, Republic will square off against Carthage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Webb City, they will face off against Willard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
