Baseball Recap: Marion Falls Short of Little River in the Playoffs

Marion and Little River squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Marion had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Redskins by a score of 4-3. Surprisingly, this marked the Warriors' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Marion saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Krause, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Marion has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.9 runs over those games. As for Little River, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 20-3.

As of now, neither Marion nor the Redskins have any future games scheduled.
