Volleyball Preview: Twin Valley South Panthers vs. Tri-Village Patriots

Twin Valley South has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will venture away from home to take on the Tri-Village Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Twin Valley South came up short against Varsity Opponent and fell 3-1.

Twin Valley South started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-13, 27-25, 25-19.

Meanwhile, everything went Tri-Village's way against Bradford on Tuesday as Tri-Village made off with a 3-0 win.

Tri-Village was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-14, 25-18.

Tri-Village found their leader in underclassman Mylee Bierly, who had 19 digs and three aces. Bierly is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 19 or more in the last four games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Pipenger, who had four digs and 19 assists.

Twin Valley South now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Tri-Village, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
