Recap: Cedar Hill Longhorns vs. Waxahachie Indians
The Cedar Hill Longhorns were the 77-67 winner over the Waxahachie Indians when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Cedar Hill received a tough blow on Tuesday as they fell 64-48 to Waxahachie.
King Grace was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds for Waxahachie. That's the first time this season that Grace pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Rucker, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Cedar Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Waxahachie, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.
Cedar Hill will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Sam Houston at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Sam Houston will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 754th, while Cedar Hill is ranked 124th). Waxahachie will be staying on the road on December 27th to face off against Montgomery at 8:35 p.m. on December 27th.
