Football Recap: Irvington's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Irvington). They strolled past the Skyline Titans with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 56-42. The victory was familiar territory for the Vikings, who have now won three games in a row.

Vivaan Tiwari continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 217 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 passes. Another player making a difference was Ruben Sanchez, who rushed for 103 yards and one TD on only eight carries.

Irvington's record now sits at 3-1. As for Skyline, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Irvington didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-8 win against Fremont on the 4th. As for Skyline, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Oakland at 11:00 a.m. on the 11th. This will be the Titans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
