Basketball Recap: Glascock County Takes a Loss

Glascock County lost against Edmund Burke Academy back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers took a 40-24 bruising from the Spartans. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ryan Reddick was the offensive standout of the game as he posted ten points along with six rebounds and four steals. Those six boards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Asher Hamment, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Glascock County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Edmund Burke Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glascock County will be home for the holidays to greet John Hancock Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Edmund Burke Academy, they will host David Emanuel Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 62.33 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
