Basketball Game Preview: Richards Warriors vs. Hancock Eagles

Richards is a perfect 4-0 against Hancock since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Warriors will host the Eagles at 4:55 p.m. Hancock took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Richards, who comes in off a win.

Richards was handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Chicago Vocational on Friday. The Warriors breezed past the Cavaliers to the tune of 90-38.

Rashaud Lyons was nothing short of spectacular: he almost dropped a double-double with 27 points and nine rebounds. Those 27 points gave him a new career-high. Jayvon Larry was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 16 points and nine boards.

Meanwhile, Hancock lost 72-49 to Blue Island Eisenhower on Monday.

The win got Richards back to even at 1-1. As for Hancock, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Richards strolled past Hancock when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 66-50. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
