Baseball Recap: St. Peter's Eagles vs. Richmond Hill Lions
St. Peter waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Richmond Hill Lions a 7-0 shutout. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by seven runs or more this season.

Justin Levine made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Levine wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Rosario, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Joseph Napoli also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.
St. Peter's pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Richmond Hill, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
